Originally created by Danish designer Verner Panton in 1967 and reissued by Verpan, the modern, lightweight Series 430 Chair is upholstered with Kvadrat's hardwearing Messenger fabric to exacting standards. A versatile stacking chair perfect for any space, from surrounding dining tables to punctuating workspaces, the Series 430 Chair was Panton's first four-legged chair design and showcases a fully upholstered back and seat, with both blue and red colourways exclusively available at The Conran Shop. Its circular seat is crafted on a form-pressed wooden ring, supported by interwoven elastic straps that ensure soft comfort and gentle support for any sitter. Crafted in the same way since its inception, Verpan has ensured that subtle detailing brings the Series 430 Chair into the 21st century, with double-tubing and leg-caps to protect flooring and offer inimitable strength and stability. Designed by Maharam Design Studio for leading textile innovators Kvadrat, Messenger upholstery is crafted from recycled polyester and nylon for a particularly durable finish.
