Access the design legend with this re-issue of a timeless, iconic chair: the famous "Series 7" chair. Certainly the best selling chair in the world, the Series 7 chair has often been copied but never rivalled. Fritz hansen reissued the original version, designed in 1955 by the famous Danish creator and designer Arne Jacobsen. "Series 7" is a practical, light, comfortable and stackable chair, designed to adapt to all kinds of environments: kitchens and dining rooms of course, but also restaurants, cafés and conference rooms, etc. Very innovative for its period, this chair is made up of a seat and a backrest in a single piece: a moulded plywood shell. This chair perfectly illustrates the work of Arne Jacobsen, one of the most emblematic designers of the Scandinavian functionalist movement. Its design is at once paired-down, practical and organic with an incredible fluidity in the lines. Arne Jacobsen's creations have really laid the foundations of Scandinavian organic modernism. This design is characterised by ample and round forms which favour the idea of comfort. A real design icon, the Series 7 chair still appeals to design fans all over the world today! The Series 7 has become a classic of Scandinavian design, reducing the back and seat to a single piece of moulded plywood on steel tubular legs. The Series 7 chair is incredibly light (only 4 kg) but extremely durable, too. The Series 7 is a chair that is passed down the generations: basically, it’s immortal. The timeless design of the Series 7 will continue to stand the test of time. Its vintage style will always look sensational! This chair has a seat and a backrest made from moulded ash plywood, combined with a steel tubular base. The Series 7 chair is available in a variety of versions.
