An authentic reproduction from a document in the Morris & Co. archive 'Morris Seaweed' was designed by J. H. Dearle in 1901. It was one of the most popular designs he created a free flowing pattern which captures the underwater movement of plants and suggests how he looked toward the sinuous curves of Art Nouveau. The Morris Seaweed wallpaper comes in shades of red and gold making a true statement with dramatic effect. This wallpaper is part of the Morris Archive III wallpapers collection. Application Method: paste the paper and then apply wallpaper. Pattern match:Straight. Vertical repeat: 52cm. To complete the look team with the Seaweed bedding throw rug or runner.
I love the Seaweed Wallpaper for its timeless design and calming ink woad blue hue, making it a versatile choice for various interiors. It works particularly well in traditionally styled spaces or as an accent wall in contemporary rooms, adding a touch of heritage charm. When styling with this pattern, consider pairing it with neutral furnishings or natural textures to let the wallpaper stand out without overwhelming the space. It’s also great in relaxed zones like lounges or bedrooms where a serene ambience is desired. For practical styling tips, keep accessories and textiles simple and understated, allowing the intricate pattern to be the focal point. This wallpaper offers a subtle yet sophisticated backdrop that can effortlessly blend into both classic and modern interiors.
