As its title suggests this wallpaper is inspired by a set of embroidered panels depicting the seasons in stitch-work designed and probably also embroidered by May Morris in 1895-1900. Now reinterpreted as a wallpaper Seasons by May features parakeets stylised roses tulips turning stems leaves and flowers amongst a mirrored trellis in shades of saffron yellow red purple and brown. Application Method: paste the paper and then apply wallpaper. Pattern match: Straight drop. Vertical repeat: 45.7cm. Pair this wallpaper with the perfectly matched bedding and throw to tie the look together.
I love the Seasons by May wallpaper in Saffron Yellow for its vibrant yet sophisticated tone, which can really lift and warm up a space. It works particularly well in more traditional or eclectic interiors where a touch of colour and pattern can add character without overwhelming. As a stylist, I’d recommend pairing it with neutral or darker furnishings, like the black accents in this room, to create balance and ensure the pattern remains a feature. This wallpaper would also look fantastic in living rooms or feature walls, where it can serve as a focal point without needing much additional styling-simply add some complementary textiles and accessories for a full, cohesive look. Don’t forget, the colour palette lends itself well to both modern and classic spaces, making it a versatile choice for those wanting to make a statement.
