I’m a fan of this slim black console for its clean lines and versatile shelving - it slips into modern, industrial or Scandi-inspired hallways without overwhelming the space. Its open frame keeps things light, while the two lower shelves are ideal for shoes, baskets or display pieces.
Styling tip: anchor it with a round mirror above and layer in a plant or sculptural vase on the top shelf. Use the middle shelf for a neat tray to catch keys and post, then tuck woven baskets below to conceal umbrellas or extra throws. It’s a simple way to keep an entryway looking organised yet welcoming.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
