Description

Designed by the German architect Egon Eiermann as an orchestra chair in 1951, the SE68 Dining Chair is expertly crafted by PLEASE WAIT to be SEATED. Stripping design back to its bare elements, the chair features a minimalist laminated wood veneer seat resting on four black metal legs. Showcasing elegant curves and an organically-shaped seat, the SE68 Chair is a timeless design classic that is bound to suit any dining space. One of Germany's most renowned architects and designers, Egon Eiermann had a simple, minimalistic approach to design. Inspired by architects such as Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier and Walter Gropius, his unique designs are as functional as they are beautiful.

Our Stylist Says

I love this black dining chair for its minimalist and sleek design, making it highly adaptable across a variety of interiors. It works especially well in modern or Scandinavian-style spaces, where clean lines and simplicity are key. Its dark colour makes it practical for everyday use, hiding minor scuffs, while the subtle curves add a touch of comfort. For styling, I recommend pairing it with a light wooden or pale-toned dining table to create contrast, or layering it with textured cushions or throws for added visual interest. This chair is versatile enough to sit comfortably in both contemporary and eclectic settings, and its understated elegance makes it a staple for stylish, practical dining areas.
