I’m a fan of this Scandi playmat for its soft, muted palette and simple woodland motifs - it instantly lifts a nursery or playroom without overwhelming the space. The round shape works brilliantly on pale wood floors, helping to zone a reading or toy area, and its low-pile construction makes it easy to keep clean (ideal for crumbs and spills). Pair it with light-wood furniture, wicker storage baskets and a few green houseplants or faux foliage to echo that Scandi feel. If you’re using it under a small table or teepee, leave a gap around the edge so the design can peek through and define the play zone. For extra comfort, you could layer a thin underlay beneath to keep it in place and add a touch of padding.
