The Rowlinson Alderley Rattan Storage Bench cleverly combines outdoor seating with storage. The Alderley Storage Bench is constructed from weatherproof rattan effect weave around a sturdy hardwood timber frame that is also pre-painted in a factory stain with lacquer finish. The large under-seat storage compartment is accessed via the lift up seat and has an approximate capacity of 150 litres, making this an attractive, yet functional place to sit and enjoy your garden. Supplied in a natural weave coloured rattan with light grey seat pad.

I’m a big fan of the Alderley rattan bench for its blend of texture and practical storage - the woven natural finish brings warmth without feeling overly rustic. It sits equally well in a coastal hallway, a laid-back living room or even a sun-filled conservatory, pairing neatly with light wood and neutral fabrics. To style it, top with a slim, patterned cushion in muted blues or soft greens and stack a couple of woven baskets inside to keep scarves, throws or children’s toys out of sight. If you need extra hooks nearby for coats or hats, choose simple black-metal fittings to echo the bench’s clean lines.
