Description

The Reuben 8 seater concrete tile top oak dining table is a statement piece that is perfect for open-plan cooking/dining spaces. Handmade in Vietnam, the contemporary table has elegant, tapered legs, while the low-maintenance tiles have subtle tonal variations in their colour and are set within a metal band. Our dining chair collection includes designs with oak legs that are the perfect complement to the Reuben table, including upholstered chairs in a choice of colours.

Our Stylist Says

I love this table because it combines natural oak with a striking concrete top, creating a balanced mix of warmth and industrial edge. It works particularly well in contemporary or urban-style interiors, but can also be paired with rustic or minimalist aesthetics for a versatile look. Practical styling tips include adding a mix of modern and vintage chairs to create visual interest, and layering with textured tableware or centrepieces to soften the concrete’s cool tone. Its sturdy design and neutral colour palette make it a reliable focal point for everyday dining or more social gatherings.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
