Description

Designed by Carlo Mollino, this Reale table in a Canaletto walnut dyed oak finish with a glass top is a timeless design that fits seamlessly into a contemporary landscape. The Reale table was originally conceptualised in 1946 and remains an emblem of the designer’s aptitude for achieving function using an eccentric, complex silhouette. Reissued by Zanotta, Reale is a juxtaposition of honest materials, with a five inch bevelled glass top resting on slender lines of Canaletto walnut dyed oak, all held together by a series of intricate joints in strong, perfectly-balanced suspension. This timeless twentieth-century design is starkly contemporary and demonstrates Mollino’s undeniable foresight into the future of design.

Our Stylist Says

This dining table is a fantastic choice for adding a modern, sophisticated touch to both contemporary and industrial interiors. The combination of the canaletto walnut-dyed oak and the sleek glass top creates an elegant yet practical statement piece that works well in open-plan kitchens or dining rooms with minimalist decor. I love how the sculptural wooden legs add visual interest and warmth, making it versatile enough to pair with a variety of chair styles-from upholstered holm seats to metal stacking chairs. For styling, consider keeping accessories minimal-perhaps a simple centrepiece or a runner-to let the materials and design speak for themselves. It’s a durable, stylish table that balances form and function beautifully.
