I’m a fan of the Quincy shelf for its slim black steel frame paired with weathered oak - it adds warmth without overwhelming a room. The open-sided design works equally well in contemporary living rooms, Scandi-inspired studies or as a light divider in an open-plan space.
When styling, mix books (some stacked, some upright) with decorative objects and a trailing plant for movement. Pop a couple of matching baskets on the lowest shelf to hide everyday clutter, and leave one shelf partly empty to keep the look spacious and balanced.
