Designed by Le Corbusier for the Chandigarh High Court in 1954, Projecteur remained unknown until 2012, when it was rediscovered in the archives of the Le Corbusier Foundation in Paris. Rebuilt based on the only available document - a profile drawing of it - the Projecteur has now found a totally new declension.
I love the Projecteur 165 Pendant for its sleek, industrial aesthetic that adds a modern edge to various interiors. Its simple black and grey colour palette makes it versatile, working well in both contemporary and minimal settings, as well as more loft-style spaces. It’s particularly effective when hung in clusters or used to highlight dining or kitchen areas, where its directional light can be focused exactly where needed. For practical styling tips, consider pairing it with exposed pipes or other raw materials for an industrial look, or with softer textures and neutral tones to soften its strong visual presence. It’s a functional piece that combines form and function seamlessly.
