First designed in 1955 for the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Poul Kjærholm's PK52 A Student Desk and drawer has been revived and reissued by Carl Hansen & Son, showcasing the designer's mastery of functionalist furniture. Featuring a light and simple design, the PK52 A Student Desk with integrated drawer can be used as a desk, dining table or even a functional work table in design studios for an uncomplicated and elegant aesthetic. Drawing on his training as a cabinetmaker, Kjærholm's PK52 A Student Desk is accented with an oak drawer and table top, resting on spacers to give it the appearance of hovering above its powder-coated steel frame. With a premium oak table top in a choice of stained or Danish-oiled finishes, the PK52 A Student Desk would make the ultimate versatile addition to an array of spaces.
