Description

The Riva centre-pole round parasol has a strong, contemporary aesthetic. The parasol is easy to open and close thanks to its easy-up winding system to create the perfect shade in your garden, patio or balcony. Durable design The parasol has a strong powder-coated aluminium frame with a strong and durable fabric canopy. The robustness of the parasol is further enhanced with the tension springs that keep the fabric taught, secure, and looking its best. Premium-class fabric The parasol is made from premium-class fabric, which is water-repellent and dirt-resistant, protecting you from the elements and the sun's UV rays. We suggest using a cover to protect your parasol while not in use to maintain its quality. Stable base The Ceramica Grey 40kg Wheeled Parasol Base is the perfect base for stability. This base is suitable for use with all Riva parasols. The base has lockable wheels on all four corners for easy manoeuvrability, enabling the parasol to be positioned and secured where needed. Topped with a beautiful Concrete Effect Ceramic tile for a contemporary finish, this base requires filling with approximately 25kg of sand to ensure the stability of your parasol against the elements. This is simple to do, and the parasol comes with clear instructions. Cover and storage bag Comes with a Parasol Aerocover to protect your free-arm parasol. The cover features a sewn-in rod for easy placement, and it's water-resistant and provides UV protection. This cover is compatible with small free-arm parasols.

Our Stylist Says

I love this parasol for its clean, contemporary look and versatile colour-champagne-that works well with both modern and coastal-inspired outdoor spaces. Its generous 3.5m coverage makes it ideal for larger patios or garden dining setups, providing stylish shade while maintaining an airy feel. For styling, consider pairing it with understated, neutral-toned outdoor furniture and adding pops of colour through cushions or plants to enhance its sophisticated tone. When placing the parasol, ensure it’s anchored on a stable surface and positioned to maximise shade throughout the day-this will make your outdoor lounge or dining area not only functional but also effortlessly chic.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
