Description
Excellence ″made in Italy″. The Orio table was imagined by two young Milanese designers, Alessandro Stabile and Dario Gaudio. It is hand-crafted from turned wood in the Somaschini Felice workshop of cousins' Eugenio and Marco. This family business, founded more than 50 years ago, is situated in Mariano Comense in the province of Como. The Orio coffee table is inspired by the 1950s furniture created from Scandinavian wood. We particularly like its very on-trend vintage look and the warmth of the solid walnut. The table top has a thin slot running through it. This highly functional graphic detail allows you to hide any unsightly cables attached to a table lamp, computer or smartphone. Its very elegant tapered legs strengthen a retro silhouette. The Internoitaliano brand specialises in recreating the modern Italian habitat as part of a collective project involving transalpine designers and artisans, co-authors of the objects in the collection. It has set up a network of workshops throughout the peninsula where designers work closely with local businesses and artisans skilled in different fields (woodwork, ceramics, etc. ). All of the hand-crafted creations voluntarily project a simple and archetypical image, without losing any of the irony of transalpine design.
