This'll give light that’s perfect for reading, writing, and working, making this lamp a versatile piece for any interior.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Olson arc floor lamp for its clean, modern silhouette and subtle elegance. Its white finish with gold accents makes it versatile enough to complement various interior styles, from minimalist and contemporary to Scandi-inspired spaces. It works particularly well in living rooms or reading nooks, where its adjustable arm offers focused lighting without overwhelming the room. Practical styling tips include using it beside a cosy armchair or sofa, pairing it with neutral or monochrome palettes, and keeping accessories minimal to let the lamp's design stand out. Its height and bendy arm also make it ideal for creating ambient lighting in larger, open-floor plans or corner setups.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
