Description

The Stafford Dining Chair has been an OKA best seller ever since it launched in 2015. It was created by Annabel Astor, when she was unable to find the perfect upholstered dining chair. Every season, we reimagine this classic chair in new ways, introducing different colours and finishes to the range. Given the popularity of kitchen islands and home bars, it made perfect sense to develop a matching Stafford Stool. Our bar chair features the same stained oak wood legs, comfortable backrest and stud detailing, but it is fixed at worktop height and includes a useful footrest. This version features smart China Clay cream leather upholstery. Every element of the stool, from each metal stud hammered into place by hand to the real leather upholstery and stained legs, will result in the stool having individual character.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of the Stafford stool in China Clay because its soft leather upholstery and slim oak frame strike the right balance between comfort and clean lines. The neutral tone works beautifully in both Scandi-inspired kitchens and more traditional breakfast bars, while the studded detail gives just enough character without overwhelming a space. For styling, keep the look fresh by pairing it with brushed brass or matte black pendants overhead and a simple oak or marble countertop. A small, neutral wool seat pad or sheepskin draped over the back adds texture and extra comfort, and you can introduce a muted accent - think sage or slate - through barware or nearby soft furnishings.
