Description

These bookends are hand carved to look like two halves of a whole mushroom. They are crafted from travertine; a type of limestone that features characterful marks and patterns that result from its organic formation in hot springs and limestone caves as well as from the imprints of plants within its surface. This natural material results in the Muscarias having individual characteristics and colouring from piece to piece that add to their charm and personality. These subtle differences are part of the material's allure.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of these mushroom bookends for their simple, sculptural form and the natural travertine finish, which brings both texture and weight to any shelf. Their neutral tone makes them a great fit for Scandi-inspired, contemporary or modern-country schemes. Styling tip: use them to prop up a few large-format books on an open shelf or console, then balance with a small potted plant or a stack of ceramic bowls. Because they’re solid stoneware, they’ll keep even heavy tomes neatly in place.
