Description

The pleasing round form of our Hongwu Pot is inspired by Ancient Chinese pottery. Named after the emperor of the Ming dynasty under whose reign the first kiln was established, the Hongwu has a definite timeless quality about it. Its bold and bright glaze is hand-dipped for a distinctive finish and corroded for a more matte effect. The inside appears textured, and is the perfect place for displaying a selection of faux stems. No piece is the same.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Hongwu Pot - Sea Blue for its versatile yet striking appearance that brings a touch of colour and character to any space. Its classic shape and glazed finish make it suitable for a variety of interiors, from traditional to contemporary. I’d recommend using it as a standalone statement piece in a minimalist setting or group it with other textured ceramics for an eclectic feel. Practical styling tips include pairing it with tall leafy plants like ferns or palms to highlight its rounded form, or using it as a decorative vessel on a side table or mantel. Its muted, yet rich blue tone works beautifully with neutrals, wood, and natural fibres, making it a reliable yet distinctive addition to your plant display.
