Description

A beautifully chunky bookcase with an oversized full bullnose edge, crafted from recycled elm and pine. Our artisans work with repurposed wood sourced from the beams, old doors, walls and floors of derelict homes in China, some of which are more than 100 years old – steeping each piece in history. The Elias is handmade and hand painted in a natural finish. Due to the natural, recycled materials used, each piece will have individual characteristics that add to its charm.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of this Elias bookcase in recycled elm for its simple, rectilinear form and warm, lightly grained finish. It sits equally well in a contemporary Scandi scheme or a more rustic, country-style interior. To style it, alternate rows of neatly arranged books with decorative objects and a couple of tactile baskets or boxes on the lower shelves. Keep the top shelf clear or display a pair of slender vases to lift the eye, and allow breathing space around each item to avoid a cluttered look. It’s a versatile piece that’ll age gracefully in any living area or home office.
