Description

The stylish Mulia glass floor lamp boasts an organically shaped glass shade and elegant antique brass stand. The stunning circular shade creates a unique feature, even when the lamp is switched off. However, when you do turn the lamp on, the warm brass of the circular base and single solid stem shines beautifully, making this a stunning piece. | nkuku Mulia Recycled Glass Floor Lamp | Lamps | Antique Brass

Our Stylist Says

I really like this floor lamp for its sleek, modern take on vintage brass finishes - it adds warmth and a touch of elegance to any interior. It works particularly well in contemporary or minimalist spaces where its clean lines can stand out, but it can also bring a sophisticated edge to industrial or eclectic rooms. For styling, consider placing it beside a neutral-toned sofa or lounge chair to create a cosy reading nook, or use it to add ambient lighting in a corner. Practical tip: pair it with a soft fabric shade or keep it exposed to highlight its brass detailing. It’s versatile enough to work in living rooms, bedrooms, or even home offices, offering both style and function.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
