Elegant and stylish, our Chapda Task floor lamp has a classic silhouette which suits almost any interior. Its clean, slender design is both sophisticated and striking, with a warm antique brass finish. The lamp is adjustable so it can be used to provide additional light in a range of circumstances, making it an ideal reading lamp for a living room or study. This is a truly timeless product which is as practical as it is beautiful.

Our Stylist Says

I love this Nkuku lamp’s blend of vintage charm and modern sophistication. The antiqued brass finish adds warmth and character, making it a versatile choice for both contemporary and more eclectic interiors. It works particularly well in living rooms or reading nooks, where its adjustable arm provides functional task lighting with style. For styling, consider pairing it with neutral or muted colour schemes to let the brass finish stand out, or mix it with textured fabrics and natural woods for a layered, inviting look. Its timeless design means it can seamlessly fit into both minimalist schemes and more boho or industrial spaces, making it a practical and attractive addition to various interiors.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
