Description

Create a warm and inviting ambience with our sophisticated Lalua floor lamp. Its slender stand and delicate brass shade give it a timeless elegance that suits any interior. The classic shape of the shade diffuses light from both ends and the lamp is height adjustable, adding another practical element. A rich antique brass finish completes the look and enhances the glow of the light. Arrange next to a sofa or armchair or use to add light and interest to the corner of a room.

Our Stylist Says

I love this Lalua floor lamp for its versatile antique brass finish, which adds a touch of warmth and sophistication to various interiors. It works particularly well in contemporary, mid-century, or even eclectic schemes, providing an understated statement piece without overwhelming the space. When styling, consider placing it next to a cosy armchair or sofa to create a reading nook, or use it to highlight a corner with artwork or decorative accessories. To maximise its impact, pair it with warm bulbs to enhance the brass finish, and keep surrounding furniture and décor minimal to let the lamp stand out as a focal point. Its elegant yet functional design makes it a practical addition to living rooms, bedrooms, or even home offices.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
