Description

The Kabir cushion cover brings warmth and vibrancy to your living space with its rich rust-toned design. Woven from a cotton and wool blend, this decorative cushion offers a soft, tactile finish that introduces both comfort and character. Its earthy hue makes it the perfect accent against a neutral palette, adding depth without overpowering the room.

Our Stylist Says

I love this cushion cover for its warm, earthy tone and tactile wool texture, making it a versatile addition to both contemporary and rustic interiors. It works particularly well in living rooms with neutral palettes or layered textures, adding just the right amount of cosy character. For styling tips, consider pairing it with other textiles like linen or velvet cushions in complementary shades, or layering with throws in natural fibres. It’s ideal for creating a relaxed, inviting vibe, especially when used on a sofa or armchair in a space that benefits from tactile, textured accents.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
