Description

The bottle shape of the Edina clear glass table lamp provides an elegant shaped lamp that is easy to style. The lamp has a timeless quality. We love the simplicity of its design and its tactile hammered finish, skilfully created using hand tools. A table lamp is perfect for adding layers of light to a room, as well as helping to create a softer, lower lighting scheme and the Edina seamlessly blends into a variety of room styles. Its generous proportions give it a statement feel that brings an interesting texture, shape and tone to an interior.

Our Stylist Says

The Nkuku Edina lamp is a lovely piece that adds a touch of understated elegance to both contemporary and rustic interiors. I love how the clear recycled glass base pairs beautifully with its neutral shade, making it versatile enough to sit comfortably in living rooms, bedrooms, or even home offices. It works particularly well in minimalist or industrial-style schemes, where its simplicity can stand out without overwhelming the space. For styling tips, try pairing it with textured soft furnishings or matte ceramics to emphasise its artisanal vibe, and consider placing it on a side table orconsole to create a warm, inviting glow. Its size makes it perfect for adding ambient light without dominating a room, making it a practical yet stylish choice.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
