Description

This striking wall art features a classic Indian geometric design, brought to life in soft, muted pastel tones. A gently textured finish adds warmth and an organic feel, making it a beautiful addition to any living space. Framed in sustainable mango wood, it combines traditional inspiration with considered materials. Part of our Bawal collection, it pairs seamlessly with two complementary designs for a cohesive, curated display.

Our Stylist Says

The nkuku Bawal Wall Art is a versatile piece that brings a natural, earthy texture to any space. I love how its woven design adds warmth and an organic feel, making it ideal for boho, Scandi, or contemporary interiors. It works particularly well in living rooms, bedrooms, or even hallways when you want to introduce a subtle statement without overpowering the space. For styling, I recommend pairing it with neutral or textured accessories to emphasise its natural qualities, and layering it with other woven or wooden pieces for a cohesive look. It’s easy to incorporate into both modern and rustic schemes, offering a calm, sophisticated touch that’s both functional and decorative.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
