With its exceptional dimensions, this incredible classic chandelier with its multiple branches has been invaded by disturbingly realistic resin monkeys. Hanging, standing or sitting, these three cheeky primates have each stolen a light bulb which they hold in their hands! These monkeys come into our homes as if to remind us that, in very distant times, they were the ones populating the planet! This chandelier invests large spaces with its unique, offbeat, dreamlike presence. This sculptural light stands at the boundary between modern art and design. It is part of a figurative current which is opposed to abstract design. This light sculpture is the work of designer Marcantonio Raimondi Malerba, who explores themes like the relationship between man and nature, art and design, philosophy and the way things are.
