Description

Inspired by natural textures, the Bamboo Bobbin Herringbone Cable Ceiling Pendant Light in black brings a tactile, artisan feel to modern interiors. This ceiling fixture features a sculptural bobbin silhouette and a woven black and white herringbone cable detail, adding depth and character, making it a standout feature above dining tables or in cozy corners. Crafted with a matte black finish, satin nickel bulb holder, and adjustable drop, it’s designed for flexible styling in layered lighting schemes.

Our Stylist Says

I love this black bamboo bobbin pendant for its combination of natural texture and modern design, making it a versatile choice across various interiors. Its herringbone pattern adds subtle visual interest without overwhelming, making it suitable for contemporary, industrial, or rustic spaces alike. For practical styling, it works well centred over a dining table or in a kitchen nook, especially when paired with simple, understated decor to let the pendant stand out. To create a cohesive look, consider pairing it with other black or natural wood finishes, and use warm LED bulbs for a cosy glow. This piece is also great for layering with smaller pendants or wall lights to add depth and dimension to a room.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
