I’m a fan of the Dorney glass-framed mirror for its clean lines and subtle layer of depth - the double glass frame catches light without adding bulk. It suits contemporary or Scandi schemes especially well, though it can also lift a traditional hallway when paired with pared-back furnishings. For styling, hang it above a slim console topped with a simple vase and bowl to catch keys, or lean it against a pale wall in a bedroom to visually double the space. In a darker corner it’ll bounce natural light around, making compact rooms feel brighter and more open.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
