Description

The Metro Large Glass Table Lamp in Nickel and Grey beautifully illuminates your interiors, featuring a cylindrical grey shade with a subtle hint of teal that diffuses the light within and projects a soft glow throughout the room. This modern lamp is the perfect addition to any home’s interior lighting arrangements, creating a clean, minimal look and soft mood light – ideal for bedrooms and living rooms.

Our Stylist Says

I love this lamp for its sleek, modern appeal and versatile colour palette. The iridescent glass sphere adds a subtle touch of sophistication and a hint of interest, making it a great statement piece on a side table or console. Its neutral grey and nickel tones ensure it blends seamlessly into contemporary, minimalist, or even slightly industrial interiors. Practical styling tips include pairing it with textured accessories or emphasising its unique base by placing it on a contrasting surface to make it stand out. It works well in living rooms, bedrooms, or even offices where you want a functional yet stylish lighting solution.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
