Description

Accentuate a post modern aesthetic with the Metro Ball Stacked Table Lamp with Blue Glass Base. The pop of blue of this table lamp is a wonderful accent to the geometric shape. The cylindrical shape paired with the dark grey finish of the lampshade creates a luxurious look.

Our Stylist Says

I love this lamp for its sleek combination of modern elegance and playful detail. The blue glass base adds a pop of colour and texture, making it a versatile piece that can work equally well in contemporary, coastal, or transitional interiors. Its stacked orb design brings visual interest without overwhelming a space, making it perfect as a bedside or feature table lamp. Practical styling tips include pairing it with soft, muted bedding or textiles for a calming vibe, or using it as a focal point on a console table with minimal accessories to highlight its sculptural appeal. The neutral shade is great for casting a warm, inviting light, enhancing both cosy corners and more open, airy rooms.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
