I’m a fan of this little oak-and-white desk for its clean silhouette and warm wood tone, which feels both contemporary and inviting. It works brilliantly in Scandi, Japandi or coastal-inspired rooms, as well as any neutral-palette home office where you don’t want a heavy visual footprint.
Styling it is easy: keep the desktop clutter-free with just a slim desk lamp and a small potted plant or vase, then lean one or two unframed art prints against the wall for a relaxed look. A woven basket tucked underneath holds papers or blankets, and a slim tray on top corrals pens and notepads. Finish with a neutral linen chair or a simple upholstered stool to keep the overall aesthetic light and airy.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
