I love how this Madrid stand combines a crisp white finish with warm oak-effect surfaces and slim, brass-tipped legs - it works equally well in Scandi-inspired, contemporary or mid-century rooms. The two cupboards keep cables and consoles out of sight, while the open shelves are perfect for a game console or a small speaker.
For styling, tuck woven baskets or low boxes on the lower shelf to keep remotes organised, and group a couple of books and a sculptural vase on the top alongside a potted plant for texture. Use the cable ports at the back to hide leads cleanly and balance the overall look without clutter.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
