Description
With large, squashy cushions and curved arms that soften its angular lines, the Lyle red wool 2 seater sofa is a relaxed, contemporary design. Perched on chromed ski legs, the inviting 2 seater sofa's narrow frame allows a generous seat for its size;its cushions have a neat tucked detail on their corners and are removable for regular plumping. The 2 seater sofa is hand made to order and is part of the Lyle range, available in various sizes with fabric or leather upholstery in a choice of colours.
Our Stylist Says
I love the Lyle red wool two-seater for its bold colour and clean, modern silhouette. It’s a versatile piece that can anchor a variety of interiors, from contemporary spaces to eclectic mixes. The red hue adds a vibrant pop, perfect for creating focal points in neutral or minimalist settings, while the wool upholstery offers a tactile, cosy feel. Practical styling tips include pairing it with neutral or patterned cushions to soften the look, and adding metallic or wooden accessories to complement the metal legs. It works particularly well in living rooms aiming for colour contrast or Scandinavian-inspired schemes, but can also serve as a statement piece in more understated interiors.

The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
Rapid Expansion & Legacy
Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.
The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.
Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.
Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.
Innovation & Collaboration
Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.
Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
