I’m a fan of this oak five-shelf unit for its clean lines and warm timber tone - it slips easily into Scandi-inspired, contemporary or casual modern schemes. The narrow width keeps it versatile in a study, hallway or even living room without overwhelming the space.
Styling tip: break up the rows of books by interspersing a low planter or a woven basket, then stack a few volumes horizontally to create a plinth for a small sculpture or candle. Keep shelf heights varied and leave a little breathing room so each object has impact rather than crowding all five levels.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
