Description
Lost is the first collection of lamps designed by Magis. Reducing all the technical aspects to a circle, this is the challenge faced by the designers Brogliato Traverso to design the Lost lamp. The simple, essential shape hides a complex technology that required a long period of research. The light is diffused neutrally and homogeneously over the entire curved surface, thanks to the coupling of the LEDs to a flexible board. The classic lampshade is redesigned and transformed, eliminating the entire structure and keeping only the perimeter, generating a central void. The result is a strong, essential graphic sign represented by a circle just 2 cm thick that conceals a dimmable LED light source that extends around the entire circumference and marks the limits of the void. Emptiness is the main protagonist of the aesthetics of the lamp. As if sucked into a black hole, the technical aspect disappears, leaving only the silence of the central void. Lost transforms empty space into magic, creating a dreamlike, contemporary ambiance. Simply touch the inner perimeter of the circle to turn the light on, off and dim it.
