I’m a big fan of this grey sideboard for its clean lines and practical storage - the two drawers and triple-door cupboard are perfect for stashing everyday clutter. Its neutral matt-grey finish and oak-effect top sit comfortably in both modern farmhouse and Scandi-inspired schemes, while the simple cup-handle detail adds a subtle vintage touch. Stylist tip: float it beneath a frameless mirror to amplify light, then layer a couple of low vases, a stack of coffee-table books and a sculptural bowl for balance. Inside, use uniform wicker baskets to keep linens or ceramics neatly organised and easy to access.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
