The Lexington Plush Velvet Divan Bed Base with Floor Standing Upholstered Headboard combines timeless luxury with sustainable British craftsmanship. Ethically made in the UK from responsibly sourced timber, the solid platform top base offers firm, stable orthopaedic support, outperforming standard slatted frames. Upholstered in plush velvet, it brings refined elegance to both classic and modern bedrooms. The 54" tall Lexington headboard (32" front panel) features deep cushioning with premium polyester foam, enhanced by a ripple-effect design, hand-tufted fabric button detailing, and square panelling. A striking centrepiece, it blends grandeur with comfort for everyday use. The divan base measures 34.5cm in height with gliders attached (30.5cm without) and comes in all standard UK sizes 2FT. 6 Small Single, 3FT Single, 4FT Small Double, 4FT. 6 Double, 5FT King, and 6FT Super King. Choose from practical storage options including no drawers, 2 drawers (same side), or 4 drawers, for a bed that is as functional as it is luxurious. Maximum storage capacity with 4 drawers, 2 on each side make this a great storage bed option.

Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
