The Appledore Luxury Sprung King Size Divan Bed includes a firm edged pocketed divan base, working in harmony with the Appledore mattress, a luxurious handmade mattress consisting of 1200 traditional pocket springs filled with hand teased Dartmoor wool, horsetail with cotton and wool layers all of which deliver great comfort and pamper you while you rest and sleep. The headboard is padded only using natural fillings of wool and cotton and then hand upholstered giving the bed its magnificent finishing touch to make a real impact in your bedroom. Please note: the imagery shows the Luxury Sprung Divan with a dovetail footend drawer. This drawer type and others are available on request but are not standard options and come at an additional charge.

Sustainability at the Forefront
From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.
Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.
Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.
Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons
Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.
