Description

A modern table lamp that’s perfect for use as a bedside light or desk lamp, the Laval acrylic ball in grey is sure to help create a wonderful style of light for any space. The acrylic ball feature sits in a grey frame, looking great in a minimalistic urban décor, whilst also giving effective illumination to your home. The shade around the central light is also adjustable, so you’ll be able to direct the light for a more purposeful form of task lighting that’s ideal for an office or workspace.

Our Stylist Says

The Laval acrylic ball lamp has a modern, minimalist look that works beautifully in contemporary and Scandinavian-inspired interiors. Its grey base provides a subtle contrast that helps it blend seamlessly with neutral palettes, while the acrylic ball adds a stylish focal point. I love pairing it on a side table or bedside cabinet for a sleek touch of sophistication. For practical styling, consider grouping it with other geometric or monochrome accessories to maintain a clean, unified aesthetic. Its understated design also makes it versatile enough to complement eclectic or minimalist spaces, adding softness and a touch of elegance without overpowering the overall look.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
