Crafted from predominantly solid birch but with some birch veneer modern materials, this sideboard benefits from an adjustable shelf in each cupboard section providing ample storage space. I really rate the Garrat sideboard for its warm honey finish and tidy proportions - it brings both storage and style without overwhelming a room. Its solid-wood construction and simple panel doors work equally well in country, Scandi or modern-traditional schemes, fitting under a mirror in a hallway or alongside dining-room seating. Styling-wise, I’d group a low ceramic lamp and a couple of framed prints on one side, leaving space for a small plant or decorative bowl to balance the other. Inside the three drawers you can stow cutlery or household bits, while the cupboards are ideal for servingware or extra throws. Baskets on the base plinth add texture and give you grab-and-go storage for everyday essentials.

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.
