Description

This impressive storage cabinet is built from sturdy timbers and painted in a chalky finish with lightly distressed edges. We love the airy contrast of the ribbed glass doors on the upper section as well as the huge amount of storage space available in both cupboard sections and in the large drawer. The biggest plus? It's fully assembled. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for this piece of furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I love this classic Laura Ashley sideboard for its versatile and timeless appeal. Its soft cream and natural finish make it an ideal addition to both traditional and cottage-style interiors, adding warmth and charm. It works particularly well in living rooms, dining areas, or kitchens where you need practical storage without compromising on style. To style it, consider layering with vintage ceramics, small potted plants, or framed photos on top, while keeping the inside organised with baskets or dividers. For a cohesive look, pair it with other shabby-chic or country-inspired pieces, and don’t forget to embrace its charming character by leaving some elements slightly imperfect or nostalgic.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
