Description

Designed in 1950 by Charles and Ray Eames for Vitra and noted as one of the duo’s favourite designs, the LAR Plastic Armchair is refreshed with white powder-coated legs for 2020. Forming part of the Plastic Armchair family, the LAR is one of the most important designs in furniture history, featuring a dyed-through polypropylene shell and a renowned 'cat's cradle' base. The chair's lightweight, organic shape is optimised for maximum stability and comfort. Manufactured to exacting standards by Vitra, the prestigious collective curates innovative products and concepts, working with visionary designers to improve quality of life through the power of design.

Our Stylist Says

I love this chair for its bold yet versatile colour combo, making it a great statement piece. The rusty orange adds warmth, while the white base keeps it fresh and modern. It’s perfect for eclectic interiors or to inject a pop of colour in a neutral space. It works especially well in contemporary or mid-century styled rooms, acting as a striking accent in living areas, bedrooms, or even in a hallway. To style it effectively, consider pairing with textured cushions or a small side table to create a cosy corner. Its sleek design also makes it an attainable choice for informal dining or workspace setups, bringing both style and comfort into everyday life.
