Description
An icon of 20th-century design, the black Laccio Side Table was designed by Marcel Breuer in 1925 and is truly representative of the Bauhaus approach to design. Crafted to Breuer's exact specifications by Knoll, the deisgn features an MDF table top with a smooth plastic laminate in a black satin finish and a seamless tubular steel frame in a polished chrome finish. Tastefully engraved with Knoll's logo and Breuer's signature as a mark of authenticity, the Laccio Table is considered a design classic that will enhance any collection. One of the first students at the Bauhaus, Hungarian-born Marcel Breuer is widely considered one of the most popular and influential architects and furniture designers of the 20th century. Studying alongside artists such as Wassily Kandinsky, Walter Gropius, Paul Klee and Josef Albers, Breuer went on to become a figurehead of the Modernist movement.
