I’m a fan of this oak L-shape desk because it makes the most of corner space without looking bulky - the pale wood top and white metal frame feel fresh in modern or Scandi-inspired schemes. The two open shelves give you display space for books or storage baskets, while the simple silhouette keeps the focus on your décor rather than the desk itself.
To style it, tuck a slim desk lamp and a small potted plant onto the desktop, then use matching woven baskets on the lower shelves to corral cables, notebooks or stationery. Pair with a slimline upholstered chair and a neutral rug to soften the industrial frame, or add brass accessories for a subtle touch of warmth.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
