Price History

Description

Design. Combining a mid-century silhouette with contemporary detailing, the Kora TV unit oozes vintage glamour with a twist. Stealing the spotlight, its two cupboard doors feature a modern 3D block design, providing unexpected texture, dimension and a unique point of focus. Brass handles and leg tips introduce warmth and elegance, beautifully complementing the rich tones of the solid Sheesham wood. As functional as it is fabulous, the TV stand contains enough space for media equipment and accessories, with two open shelves in the centre allowing remote access to digital boxes and machines. A grand addition to any living room, it can be combined with the Kora side table and coffee table for a cohesive look.

Our Stylist Says

I love this TV stand because of its striking Sheesham wood finish, which brings warmth and character to any living space. Its mid-century inspired design works well in both contemporary and eclectic interiors, offering a unique textural element alongside practical storage with its sliding doors and open shelving. For styling tips, consider pairing it with vintage finds or minimalist decor to highlight its natural grain, while balancing the look with layered textiles or plants for added warmth. It’s versatile enough to sit well in both neutral-toned schemes and more vibrant, boho rooms, making it a real statement piece that doubles as functional storage.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
