All our bed frames are upholstered to a high standard and finished in a super soft touch velvet fabric, to ensure durability and luxury at the same time. The contemporary panel design headboard makes a sophisticated statement to add that finishing touch. Available in a variety of fabric colours to complement your existing decor and bedroom colour palette. Fittings and fixtures are included, meaning there is only minimal assembly required. I’m a fan of this Kingston velvet bed because its button-tufted head and footboard add instant polish without feeling over the top. Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
