I’m a big fan of the grey Masters stool for its sculptural yet unfussy silhouette - it brings a touch of designer flair without overwhelming a space. Its neutral tone and lightweight polypropylene make it equally at home in a pared-back Scandi kitchen, a slick urban apartment or a more eclectic mix of textures and finishes. For styling, pair it with a marble or pale oak counter, add a couple of woven cushions in muted shades for comfort, and balance its clean lines with soft pendant lighting overhead.

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.
Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.
