A clean sweep to the angle of the arms adds flourish to the outline of our Kalmar sofa. Feather filled back and base cushions offer comforting support which, combined with the P-shaped arms and relaxed tilt to the seat, encourage a laid back perch. I’m a fan of the Rose Velvet sofa for its soft, tactile finish and gently rounded profile that brings both comfort and style. It works equally well in Scandi-inspired living rooms, art-deco schemes or contemporary spaces - pair it with muted greens or deep blues, add a brass-framed side table and a textured wool rug for contrast. Keep cushions in complementary shades or subtle patterns, and in smaller rooms position it against a light-coloured wall with a mirror hung above to bounce light; in larger spaces, float it with a low coffee table and slim occasional chairs to create a welcoming seating area.
