The ivory colouring of this lamp paired with the unique cracked design, gives this table lamp a shabby chic feel to it, that is both unusual and charming. Our Stylist Says

I really like this ceramic table lamp for its understated elegance and versatile style. Its neutral ivory tone and simple white shade make it easy to incorporate into a variety of interiors, from modern minimalism to rustic or coastal schemes. It works particularly well on side tables, console units, or bedside tables, bringing a warm, inviting glow without overpowering other decor elements. When styling, consider pairing it with textured accessories or natural materials like wood, linen, or woven textiles to create a balanced, curated look. Its compact size also makes it a practical choice for tighter spaces, while its classic design keeps it relevant across changing trends.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
